For the 54th episode of the BPitch Podcast, we are excited to welcome Kessie<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Kessie, a Leeds-based DJ known for her techno-infused soundscapes that are as textured and dynamic as they are heavy. Ironically, Kessie\u2019s hearing disability is the driving force behind her machinist approach to DJing. Her \u201cwall of sound\u201d aesthetic results in immersive sets that invite you to feel the music just as much as you hear it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to lean more into my instincts for this mix and channel some of the anxieties I\u2019ve been dealing with in my everyday attempts to juggle this scramble we call life. It\u2019s also been a while since I\u2019ve focused on a podcast and I\u2019ve grown more confident in my style: colourful and sinister with a seductive twang. I focused on contrast, depth, and flow. It\u2019s tempting to approach a podcast like you\u2019re at a club, but that\u2019s already quite challenging when you\u2019re in a studio alone, with no energy to feed off except your own. So I gave myself permission to wander a bit and see where the mix wanted to go, maintaining a playful attitude while letting some of the darker undertones bleed through.\u201c Enjoy the mix!!<\/p>\n
