Alex Wilcox returns to BPitch with his debut album, Identity Crisis, out October 23rd. Refining his gloriously unpredictable strain of delirious dance music across eleven tracks, Alex Wilcox delivers hard hits of punk-infused techno and electroclash with flickers of funk – bending genres until they snap. Crafting an album that’s more than dance-music, satiating listeners of hard hitting techno, but also of punk rock, triphop, and IDM. Vocals become glitched out guitar solos, jagged synth leads spiral
upward, and rhythms mutate into absurd grooves. It’s electronic music for big systems and big imaginations — raw and sped-up, yet precision-engineered down to the last detail. Having arrived in Berlin by way of Dallas, Texas, Alex has made a name for himself from the weirder corners of the dancefloor – decades of musical experience informing his music – all the way from rock bands in Dallas, working in major label studios in Hollywood, to working in Underground Resistance HQ in Detroit.
