Concert w/ Choir
Berlin-based artist Dillon performs new arrangements of her electronic chamber Pop music with a choir.
Signed to Berlin label BPitch Control, Dillon’s music mimics elements of the techno around her. Taking the rises and falls, builds and drops, but putting them in a different context – replacing beats and purely electronic production with ornate arrangements of brass, flutes, piano and her distinctive voice gaining her comparisons with the likes of Bjork and Feist.
Originally written for her performance at Haus Der Berliner Festpiele, the recording of which is due for release in September, these new arrangements fulfil her desire to work with other voices than her own, and she layers and manipulates each vocal line as she does in her production. Both her albums, This Silence Kills and The Unknown are here brought together, reaching their full potential as one piece.
